So Im going to be entering college this year and I have to start cooking on my own because I got the partial meal plan. So for breakfast Im just going to eat cereal and some fruits. But I want to know what are some quick and easy meals I can make for lunch or dinner. Im going to be sharing a kitchen so thats why I can cook up some treats.

This might seem silly, but I just moved to my own place and I am at a loss at how to stock my kitchen and which meals to cook on a regular basis. I can do the cooking, but need ideas for staple meals and a basic philosophy.
Do most people have basic recipes for each meal (like 10 ideas for lunch, 15 for dinner) and then rotate them? Or do people mostly just cook what they crave and go to the market every day? Also, do people automatically eat salad with every meal?
I don’t need recipes, just lists of dishes and an overview of how people think about running their kitchens.

i wanted to have lunch with this girl, but it turns out she has class almost still like 6. So i feel like maybe i’ll ask her to get dinner with me instead. i’m sure i can word it differently to make it seem less like omg dinner.
