It’s a shortbread cookie. They’re not suppose to rise because they’re crispy cookies, the only thing that changes is the colour.
The dough wont taste like mint, if any of the “minted-flavour” goes on the dough, the drastic heat will burn it off.

a better way to cut slice and bake dough is to go to your local music store and get either a low gauge (High Frequency) piano wire or a single string from an electric guitar, preferably a high E. works much more effectivley as Dental floss has a high tendency to break, and i personally wouldnt want any of that (Either flavored or not) wax making it onto my dough.

This is a great idea. I’m going to do this with my Christmas cookies. I think I will make double batches of all of my cookie recipes, and just pull them out of the freezer as needed. I have used the dental floss trick before to cut my cinnamon rolls, and it works great! No wax gets into the dough, and no flavor from the dental floss transfers to the dough either.
