Great tips Thanks ^^. I use lemon juice to get onion smell and spices off my fingers. I also use baking soda to clean my produce, and I don’t cook big when I am tired! That I found is very important for a great dish!!!

Awesome tips! My tip is to take notes on what you do so that you’ll remember next time. I tried a delicious recipe that called for 48 oz of pasta and that was wayyyyyy too much for us so I changed up the ingredients and wrote my changes down so I’d remember next time!

Oh yeah! Reviewing the recipe is so important because one time I was going to cook something and I had to wait because I needed to marinate something for a long time. Definitely review your recipe!

Great tips!! you covered it all for me. My mom taught me how to cook then I took Home Ec classes and my HE teacher was a stickler about a clean kitchen. I don’t have any other tips but keep a stocked pantry with the basics. I found a basics list in a Martha stewart cookbook that helps me out. things like lemons, limes, spices, flour, sugar, beans, pasta are good to have on hand so you wont be always be running out to get them when trying a new recipe.

I’ve learned the importance of taking note of spices, sauces & kitchen tools I have. I do a simple inventory list, so I know what I have in stock & what I need to buy. It makes getting around the kitchen easier & saves time, IMO. & thx to Monique & all the others for their great tips!

My tip is if u buy meat, get it in the larger packages and separate them in zip lock bags and freeze. I buy ground turkey in the large 3 lbs packs. Put 1 lbs in each gallon zip lock and press the meat out as flat as possible. It saves so much room in the freezer. It also costs less than buying it in individual 1 lbs packs. It also defrosts faster since the meat is pressed out flat

The cake exploded?! LOL!!! Hey, my tip is to have a seasoned cook to taste your food and critique it. (Don’t take negative comments personal…remember, it’s a learning process!) For me, my food taster is my Aunt whose food is so good that she used to cater out dishes and desserts. Oftentimes, when I make something that doesn’t quite turn out, she can taste it and tell what needs to be altered in order to improve the results.
